THE ORION THEATER — Splash, the hermit crab, was cast as Sebastian in the town’s low-budget rendition of The Little Mermaid after he was discovered dancing in a coconut bra with his resume on top of a trash can outside The Orion Theater.

“I’m not sure what the purpose of the coconut bra was,” said casting director Wendy Lahoot as she reviewed Splash’s resume which was just a headshot of himself with his name “but he won us over at the theater once we realized he was a talking crab.”

Splash was seen on stage practicing his dance moves which included tapping his legs like tap shoes before crooning Under The Sea

“The only issue is he says he only accepts crab money for payment which we aren’t sure what that is yet, but hopefully we can afford his talents here,” said Wendy unaware that the conversion rate for a mere $1 in crab money is $1,000,000 USD.

The play opened at The Orion Theater a week later with the town critic, Jones Poppington, giving all negative reviews saying “The crab's got no talent. Just like this entire industry. Two claws down.” The theater then went under after Splash sent an invoice for $7 crab dollars.
